Job Description:

The role involves analyzing vulnerabilities in open source packages and collaborating with other teams to develop robust security features.

  • Key responsibilities include auditing source code, building tools, and engaging with the community to ensure Ubuntu includes the most secure features.

This position requires international travel and productivity in a globally distributed team. It demands self-discipline and self-motivation.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Identify and fix vulnerabilities
  • Collaborate with upstream developers and the community
  • Audit source code for vulnerabilities
  • Build tools to strengthen security features
Requirements:
  • Thorough understanding of security vulnerabilities and techniques
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages: C, Python, Go, Rust, Java, Ruby, PHP, JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Clear communication and interpersonal skills
