About the RoleThis role contributes towards advancing knowledge in the field of organometallic chemistry by working on an ARC-funded Discovery Project. The successful candidate will synthesise and characterise novel organic and organometallic molecular wires, performing advanced chemical synthesis and analysis.
- Conduct original research in organometallic and organic chemistry, with a focus on molecular electronics.
- Design and execute chemical syntheses, including air-free techniques like glovebox and Schlenk line.
- Analyse products of synthesis and study their properties using various spectroscopic methods.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and reports.
- Present results at national and international conferences.

Selection CriteriaTo be successful in this role, you will have:
- A PhD in inorganic or organic chemistry, with expertise in organometallic chemistry.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
