Position Overview

This role is responsible for maintaining the Royal Randwick Racecourse, ensuring it remains in optimal condition.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Groundsperson to join our team on a permanent full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance work including labouring, cleaning, tracks, gardens and maintenance instructions
  • Operating plant equipment such as tractors, mowers, front end loader, forklift, power sweepers, power harrows, brush cutters, hedgers, push mowers and general spray operations
  • Routine maintenance of turf, synthetic, artificial and other surfaces
Requirements

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in turf management
  • General operational and mechanical maintenance skills
  • Licences to operate specialist machinery
  • Experience in operating plant and equipment
  • Sound knowledge and practical experience of handling chemicals
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills
