This is a permanent, full-time position based at Royal Randwick Racecourse, responsible for maintaining the course proper, training tracks, and grounds to ensure optimal condition for race days and events.

Responsibilities include:
  • General maintenance work including labouring, cleaning, and groundskeeping
  • Operating plant equipment such as tractors, mowers, forklifts, and other machinery
  • Routine maintenance of turf, synthetic, and artificial surfaces
  • Work hours are 8:30 am – 5:00 pm on non-race days; race day schedule varies
Ideal candidate:
  • Experience in turf management or similar role preferred
  • Operational and mechanical maintenance skills
  • Licences for machinery operation preferred
  • Experience with plant equipment like Bobcat, Grader, Excavator desirable
  • Knowledge of chemical handling and spraying
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Strong communication skills and outdoor work enjoyment
