About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our Biosecurity Weeds Team and protect our natural environment from invasive weed species.

  • This key leadership role involves overseeing weed management activities, managing the funding program for weed control initiatives, and conducting regular inspections across private, Council-owned, and public lands.
  • Working closely with landowners and stakeholders, you'll identify, control, and prevent weed incursions while responding to community concerns and supporting our environmental objectives.
Your Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate the Biosecurity Weeds Team to achieve effective weed management through coordination and collaboration.
  2. Develop and manage the WAP funding program to support various weed control initiatives.
  3. Conduct regular site visits and inspections of private, Council-owned, and public lands to detect and control weed incursions.
  4. Collaborate with landowners and stakeholders to develop and implement effective weed management strategies.
