Professional Services Veterinarian
OverviewThe Professional Services Veterinarian is a dynamic role based in Melbourne for a confident and customer-focused veterinary professional with a passion for enhancing the standard of care in veterinary medicine through education and training, who will also promote the growth and utilisation of IDEXX products.
In this full-time role, you will help veterinarians provide exceptional care to pets and their families across Australia. The successful candidate will be located within driving distance to an airport for ease with travelling to customers in different locations.
SalaryOur estimated annual salary for this role is approximately $120,000 AUD, plus bonus incentives and benefits.
Job DescriptionThe role of the Professional Services Veterinarian is multifaceted:
- Consult with practice owners and veterinarians on medical standards and diagnostic protocols to enhance the standard of care they provide to their clients.
- Provide education, training, and support to veterinarians and key clients, which positively influence their patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with and enhance the skills of the IDEXX team, providing technical training in relation to diagnostic education.
- Represent IDEXX to key customers, Key Opinion Leaders, and organisations across the veterinary industry.
- Represent IDEXX as an expert speaker at professional meetings and conferences.
- Support the medical message and positioning of our products.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A tertiary degree in Veterinary Science (BVSc/DVM) or equivalent.
- Registered veterinarian in Australia.
- A minimum 3+ years' experience in veterinary practice is essential.
- Knowledge and a passion for IDEXX products and services with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Veterinary industry or commercial experience is highly regarded.
- Experience and a passion for training and education.
- Experience in diagnostic veterinary pathology is highly regarded.
- Self-motivated, able to prioritise, and able to work within a team environment as well as independently.
- Ability to travel extensively within the designated region.
