About the Role:
As a Career Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disability, injury or health conditions as they prepare for a meaningful career. You will work closely with clients to help them build confidence, develop skills and achieve their career goals.
You will guide people through the job-readiness journey, empowering them to take control of their future and feel ready to step into the workforce.
- Provide tailored coaching and regular check-ins to maintain motivation and progress.
- Build strong relationships to understand each client's goals, strengths and support needs.
- Connect participants with upskilling opportunities, hands-on experience and group-based activities.
- Collaborate with employers and community services to open pathways to employment and training.
- Meet or exceed internal and external performance benchmarks.
- Champion inclusive and person-centred practice.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Working closely with clients as they plan their next career steps, providing support to find the right job along the way.
Building strong relationships to understand each client's goals, strengths and support needs.
Providing tailored coaching and regular check-ins to maintain motivation and progress.
Connecting participants with upskilling opportunities, hands-on experience and group-based activities.
Collaborating with employers and community services to open pathways to employment and training.
Meeting or exceeding internal and external performance benchmarks.
Championing inclusive and person-centred practice.
Requirements:
Qualifications in Employment or Human Services (e.g. Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work) - desirable.
Experience in employment services and supporting people with disability, injury or health conditions.
Proven ability to meet KPIs and create client-focused employment and skills plans.
Confident in marketing clients to employers and facilitating group programs.
Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
Knowledge of disability legislation, support strategies and labour market trends.
Current Driver's License - essential.
