The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Commercial Manager to support a confidential Defence project. The position will be based in Canberra and requires a full-time commitment for four months. Interstate applicants may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

An active AGSVA NV1 clearance is required upon commencement, and the successful candidate must be willing to upgrade to an NV2.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage commercial strategies to support the tendering process.
  • Prepare and review RFT documentation to ensure compliance with Defence procurement requirements.
  • Evaluate commercial aspects of bid responses, ensuring alignment with project goals and financial objectives.
  • Provide expert commercial advice to the project team and stakeholders.
  • Manage all commercial and contractual risks effectively.
Required Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
  • Experience in commercial management, contract negotiation, and procurement within a Defence setting.
  • Strong knowledge of ASDEFCON, Defence procurement frameworks, and RFT processes.
  • Ability to review, interpret, and assess commercial and financial aspects of tender responses.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
  • An active NV1 security clearance is essential.
