The Infrastructure Development Specialist will provide critical project delivery support services, assisting in all aspects of the delivery of projects for Council's Water & Sewer Capital Works Program. This includes the development of engineered solutions, stakeholder engagement, risk management, project reporting, and ensuring compliance with State and Federal funding requirements.

To succeed in this role, you'll have a solid foundation in civil or environmental engineering, with practical experience in managing or supporting the delivery of water and sewer infrastructure projects. You will be detail-oriented, organised, and able to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining strong communication and teamwork skills.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in supporting project management and delivery for infrastructure projects, preferably in water or sewer services.
  • Familiarity with project management processes, including planning, risk management, and reporting.
  • Understanding of safety in design, risk assessments (HAZOP, CHAIR), and compliance with relevant policies and standards.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Experience in preparing tender documentation and supporting contract management processes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage projects at varying stages simultaneously.

We offer a competitive salary range of $91,000 - $100,000 per annum, plus superannuation and a 3.5% civil liability allowance. The position is based at our Administration Centre in Yalawanyi Ganya, but may also require working from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.
