Job Title: Electrical Design Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to take on the role of Electrical Design Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fault finding and repair of complex electrical systems is a key responsibility of this role.
  • The successful candidate will work closely with the design team to produce accurate electrical engineering designs.
  • Creation and modification of 2D CAD drawings, 3D Parametric Solid Models is a critical skill for this position.
  • Analysis of electrical systems, parts or components is an essential part of this job.
  • The selected individual will conduct test and evaluation activities alongside the Design Authority.
  • Review and utilisation of customer specified standards and relevant regulations to prepare system requirements is a key aspect of this role.
  • Support Project Management activities is an important duty of this position.
  • Contribution to system design safety and maintainability analysis is also required.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical engineering, specifically in fault finding, maintaining and repairing electrical systems.
  • A degree qualification in Electrical, Electronics, Hardware, Mechatronics or Avionics Engineering or similar qualifications / experience.
  • Hands-on electrical design experience as well as an aptitude to analyse electrical systems.
  • Defence industry experience is highly desirable.
