Electrical Design Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Specialist to join our team in Melbourne. This role involves designing, managing, and supervising projects as part of a global engineering consultancy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with monitoring resource requirements for each project within your control.
- Carry out detailed design, tender, and contract on-site supervision to completion, ensuring projects meet design briefs and deadlines.
- Liaise with the design team to produce coordinated designs that are technically compliant, consistent, and of high quality.
- Provide positive contributions to design/project meetings and maintain regular in-house design reviews and checks.
- Monitor and control project progress, design variations, and financial budgets.
- Maintain excellent relationships with clients and design teams to achieve high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Extensive knowledge of building electrical power, lighting, and signal design, including life safety systems and building management systems.
- Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, and electrical design software.
