About This Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Australian Industry Capability Developer to join our team at ASC. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in driving the development and execution of our Sovereign Supply Chain Development Plan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with program leads to identify and develop AIC requirements for specific programs, ensuring alignment with government policies and ASC business objectives.
  • AIC Development: Provide advice on AIC and sovereign supply chain development, leveraging your expertise to inform strategy and drive growth.
  • Supplier Engagement: Communicate program AIC requirements to suppliers and evaluate AIC proposals, fostering strong relationships and maximizing participation in ASC's supply chain.
  • Industry Intelligence: Develop Australian industry capability intelligence to identify gaps and inform strategy, enabling data-driven decision making.
  • SME and Indigenous Engagement: Engage with SMEs and indigenous-owned businesses to maximize participation in ASC's supply chain, promoting diversity and inclusion.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in commerce, supply chain, or a related field
  • A minimum of 3-5 years relevant business experience
  • Knowledge of the Australian defence industry, including government policies and initiatives, with experience in strategic business planning and program management
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and customer relations skills
  • Strong analytical, financial, commercial, and communication skills
  • Ability to balance conflicting priorities to deliver against customer requirements
  • Ability to establish and maintain key stakeholder relationships
  • Experience in risk management

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, dependent on experience
