The role of Senior Zoologist is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage high quality vertebrate zoological surveys and assessments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage field data collection, analysis and reporting
  • Support the team leadership group in project management
  • Prepare high quality reports, technical advice and foster a culture of continuous improvement

In this role, you will collaborate with the Vertebrate Fauna team to complete field data collection, analysis and reporting. You will also provide guidance and support to the team leadership group in project management, preparing high quality reports, technical advice and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualification in Zoology, conservation biology, Environmental Science or similar
  • Class C, open licence (essential) and experience with 4WD (preferable)
  • Postgraduate experience in a relevant field, with clear evidence you can work effectively
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing field teams
  • Ability to produce technical reports and other deliverables to a high standard with minimal support
  • Experience within Zoology (vertebrate or invertebrate) and a moderate level of understanding of vertebrate ecology and species identification
