Service Engineer Job Overview

The Service Engineer position offers a unique opportunity to advance your career in a technologically innovative field, utilising exceptional problem-solving and technical skills.

Our client is a leader in Building Automation and energy management within the control environment for commercial and industrial buildings, providing customised service installation, design, upgrading, commissioning, and end-to-end maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Run diagnostics, troubleshoot, and service Building Automation / Energy Management Systems, and carry out scheduled servicing activities.
  • Work closely with customers using a consultative approach to understand their needs and provide solutions to expand and improve existing systems.
  • Complete projects and upgrade works on new and existing sites, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Design and program BMS / HVAC control systems, optimising efficiency and reliability.
  • Analyse data from a building's BMS to gain clarity on systems and faults, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Project manage small projects; work with clients in a technical advisory / consultative capacity, providing expert guidance and support.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Industry experience within electrical, HVAC, instrumentation / controls, security, data or related trades is highly regarded.
  • Hands-on experience with cabling or mechanical-electrical work and a willingness to further develop these skills.
  • A strong interest in IT and cybersecurity related skills, with a focus on staying up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Excellent communication skills with client-facing experience; customer-focused with ability to generate further business by providing solutions.
  • High-level problem-solving skills and a willingness to ongoing learn with BMS & Commercial Automation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects autonomously and as part of a team; enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated.
  • Current driver's license and willingness to travel, with full training and support provided.
