Job Summary

This is a newly created position resulting from our strategic shift towards cloud-first solutions, offering an exciting opportunity to drive meaningful impact.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive engineering decisions and platform solutions that align with long-term architectural vision.
  • Ensure platforms and services are designed for resilience, scalability, and performance excellence.
  • Identify and lead initiatives focused on automation, optimisation, cost reduction, availability, and efficiency improvements.
  • Oversee large-scale platform implementations from design to production, maintaining high-quality documentation and processes.
  • Collaborate and share knowledge with engineers and stakeholders to foster capability, innovation, and agility.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years' experience in large enterprise environments, applying Agile and Lean practices to deliver complex solutions successfully.
  • Proven expertise with public cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure) and strong experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes/OpenShift).
  • Solid understanding of FinOps practices and experience in cloud cost optimisation within multi-cloud environments.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to drive change and foster collaboration across teams effectively.
  • Proven ability to consult and facilitate discussions regarding alternative approaches and to broker consensus across broad stakeholder groups.
