Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tax Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality tax services to our clients.

Your primary responsibility will be to prepare financial statements and tax returns for various entities, including businesses and individuals. You will also provide advisory services to optimize their financial position, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.

You will work closely with our clients to understand their business needs and develop tailored solutions that meet their goals. Your expertise in tax planning, compliance, and accounting principles will be essential in providing exceptional client service.

In addition to your technical skills, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with our clients and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of financial statements and tax returns for various entities
  • Providing advisory services to optimize clients' financial position
  • Liaison with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO)
  • Maintenance and preparation of clients' financial records
  • Maintaining and nurturing client relationships

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience working in an Australian accounting firm
  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting or commerce
  • Knowledge of MYOB and XERO
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) qualification
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • A willingness to collaborate and work in a team
