Corporate Lawyer - Mining and Energy Sector

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced corporate lawyer to join our team in the mining and energy sector.

This role will involve advising clients on matters related to acquisitions, divestments, project development, joint venture structuring, offtake agreements and construction contracts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the legal framework governing the mining and energy sectors and be able to provide strategic advice to clients.

In addition to their technical expertise, the successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be able to build strong relationships with clients.

To succeed in this role you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB or equivalent) or a Postgraduate degree in Law (LLM or equivalent)
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in corporate law, preferably in the mining and energy sector
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, mergers and acquisitions, and company law
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
