Diesel Service Specialist Role

Our organization seeks a skilled and experienced diesel service technician to perform complex mechanical repairs on heavy-duty truck equipment.

Job Summary

This position involves performing intricate mechanical work with minimal supervision, troubleshooting major issues, and collaborating with junior technicians to enhance their skills.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Carry out complicated mechanical repairs on heavy-duty trucks and related components.
  • Troubleshoot significant problems in a timely manner.
  • Support the development of Apprentice Technicians through guidance and mentorship.
  • Maintain a well-organized workspace and handle company tools responsibly.
  • Advise senior technicians if additional repair work is necessary.
  • Establish positive relationships with customers.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on new technologies.
Essential Requirements:
  • Valid CDL certification.
  • A/C, Brake, and DOT Annual Inspector certifications.
  • A minimum of one specialization (e.g., engine, drivetrain).
  • At least 4 years' experience or vocational training.
  • Necessary tools for the role.
  • Excellent customer relations and communication skills.

This safety-sensitive role requires the ability to operate, maintain, or monitor heavy equipment without posing a threat to health or safety. Any person performing this position while under the influence of marijuana or any other illegal drug may compromise health or safety.
