Diesel Service Position

Murphy-Hoffman Company's diesel service division seeks a skilled Diesel Service Technician to perform heavy-duty truck repairs.

The role involves performing complex mechanical work with minimal supervision, troubleshooting major problems and working with apprentice technicians.

Responsibilities
  • Carries out skilled mechanical tasks on heavy-duty trucks and related components under minimal supervision.
  • Troubleshoots major system issues.
  • Aids in training of junior technicians.
  • Maintains a tidy workspace and handles company equipment properly.
  • Reports to the service lead if additional work is required.
  • Buys satisfaction among customers through effective communication.
  • Participates in ongoing training to stay current with new technologies.
Requirements
  • CDL license.
  • A/C, brake and DOT annual inspector certifications.
  • Must have at least one specialization (e.g., engine, drivetrain).
  • Minimum 4 years' experience or vocational training.
  • Necessary tools for job duties.
  • Good customer relations and communication skills are necessary.
