  • A Certificate in disability qualifications or a related field is essential for this role.
  • First Aid certification and relevant work experience are highly valued.
  • The ability to obtain a Working with Children Check and National Police Check is mandatory.

Job Summary :

In this Disability Support Worker position, you will collaborate with our Client Services Team Leader to carry out daily activities in individual and group settings for clients and their families. Your primary responsibility will be to provide comprehensive assistance in all aspects of daily life, including the home environment, positive behaviour support plans, social activities, and learning opportunities.

Key Requirements :

  • You possess a genuine passion for working with NDIS clients and have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication, both written and verbal, is crucial for building rapport with clients and their families.
  • Punctuality, reliability, and commitment to your role are vital for success.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accurate note-taking skills are required to meet company procedures.
  • A professional communication style is necessary when interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently, following direction and taking initiative when needed.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide day-to-day support to clients as per their individual support plans in their homes, learning environments, or Aries care homes.
  • Participate in developing individual support plans and monitor, evaluate, and review them regularly.
  • Develop resources and training opportunities to enhance NDIS programs.
  • Undertake professional development, including self-reflection, to improve your skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with your team and manager to deliver holistic support to clients.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • A commitment to meeting NDIS and organisational expectations is essential.
  • Embody and uphold company values and philosophy.
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic environment at all times.
  • Foster a collaborative team culture and ensure effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
