Senior Cost Accounting Specialist

This role contributes to the success of our Manufacturing Finance team, where you will apply your skills in cost accounting and financial analysis to drive efficiency within the organization.
Main Responsibilities- Prepare accurate and compliant cost accounting records.
- Analyze costs associated with production, inventory, and operating expenses.
- Support the evolution of the standard costing system by analyzing variances, costing new products, and updating annual costs.
- Ensure inventory is properly valued on the balance sheet.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve organizational efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with a focus on manufacturing finance / cost accounting.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience using standard costing in the aerospace, defense, or manufacturing industry.
- Advanced Excel functions for financial analyses and variance analysis.
- Ability to present complex financial metrics to non-Finance personnel.
