About the Role

We are currently seeking expressions of interest from qualified candidates who can join our team as a Field Service Technician.

  • Conduct scheduled maintenance, inspections, and calibration of medical equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform repairs as necessary.
  • Document maintenance, repair, and calibration activities in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate with clients regarding equipment status, repair timelines, and any potential equipment issues.
  • Maintain an inventory of necessary parts, equipment, and tools to ensure prompt and efficient repair work.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and regulations, including changes to equipment standards and maintenance practices.
  • Participate in training and certification programs to maintain and improve technical skills.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Previous relevant experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Field Service Technician or in a similar role, preferably in the medical equipment industry.
  • Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of medical equipment operation, maintenance, and repair techniques.
  • Problem-solving skills: Excellent troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions efficiently.
  • Compliance mindset: Demonstrated knowledge of industry standards and regulations, with a commitment to ensuring compliance in all aspects of the job.
  • Time management: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively, ensuring timely completion of maintenance and repair work.
  • Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with healthcare staff and effectively convey equipment status, repair timelines, and potential issues.
  • Inventory management: Experience in managing spare parts inventory, ensuring the availability of necessary items for repairs.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to work independently and adapt to changing work schedules, including on-call or outside regular business hours, if required.
  • Valid driver's license: Possession of a valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer's locations.
  • Continuous learning: Willingness to stay updated with industry trends, equipment standards, and maintenance practices through training and certification programs.
  • Vaccinations: Given the nature of the work, staff are required to have their COVID-19, and annual influenza vaccinations.
