About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Design Manager to join our team in Newcastle, Australia. As a key member of our Civil Infrastructure business, you will be responsible for delivering excellent multidisciplinary design outcomes across various sectors, including Transport, Civil Structures, Water, Dams, Mining, and Defence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize your design management expertise to successfully engage and guide project delivery teams, working closely with end clients and contractors.
  • Oversee the overall design delivery, including making key design project decisions.
  • Ensure projects are delivered within the constraints of quality, time, and budget.
  • Collaborate with leaders across our ANZ team for delivery of projects, as well as assisting with project resourcing and business initiatives.
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and consulting experience in Transport, Water, and Civil infrastructure engineering and design management.
  • Proven track record in the successful delivery of large projects on time, within budget, and outstanding quality.
  • Recent Design & Construct experience serving as the Design Manager.
  • Excellent communication skills and high-quality technical and non-technical report writing.
  • Client relationship / management skills and experience.
