Job Title:

A General Practitioner role involves providing essential medical care and support to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver primary medical care to patients in accordance with professional standards, legislation, and policies
  • Be part of a multidisciplinary team focused on the health and wellbeing of patients
  • Assess patients for fitness for duty and provide care supporting health and wellbeing pre- and post-deployments
  • Provide medical technical advice to commanders and other healthcare professionals
  • Be supported by a team of senior medical officers and colleagues
  • Provide services in outpatient or inpatient settings as required

Requirements

  • Current registration as a Medical Practitioner, General in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) OR Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) OR Vocational Registration
  • Minimum of 2 years full-time post-graduate general practitioner experience in a general practice setting within the last 5 years
  • Recent CPD activities in accordance with AHPRA
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification
  • Australian citizenship to obtain the required Baseline Security Clearance
