About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our high-performing workshop team at our Hume facility in Canberra CBD.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Deliver exceptional service to our customers by providing high-quality repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products;
  • Support engine rebuilds and diagnose and repair various engines predominately across on-highway, industrial, and power generation;
  • Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens;
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation;
  • Be part of a community of like-minded individuals who value your input and are open to all viewpoints and communication;


Qualifications and Experience:



  • Mechanical trades qualified as a Heavy or Light Vehicle Mechanic (to Australian standards);
  • Previous repairs and maintenance experience with Diesel Engines, Power Generation, On Highway Truck, Construction, or Agriculture desirable but not essential;
  • Demonstrated diagnostic and problem-solving capabilities;
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment and adhere to Cummins Policies;
  • Ability to ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation.
