About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Transmission Network Engineer to join our Victorian Planning & Connections team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting power system studies, interpreting results, and providing technical advice on network adequacy and economics.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Network Analysis: Perform simulations and analyses to assess and optimize the Victorian transmission network
  2. Result Interpretation: Provide clear, actionable insights and recommendations based on your analyses
  3. Stakeholder Communication: Craft and present reports, briefings, and presentations to a diverse audience, including technical and non-technical stakeholders
  4. Project Coordination: Manage and prioritize multiple projects, adapting to changing needs and communicating effectively with your team
  5. Policy Development: Collaborate with senior staff and stakeholders to develop policies that guide our processes
Requirements
  1. Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  2. Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
  3. Experience with electricity network analysis tools (e.g., PSS/E, PowerFactory, PSCAD) and interpreting results
  4. Strong understanding of electricity transmission systems and energy markets
  5. Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex information clearly
  6. Experience in preparing high-quality stakeholder reports
  7. Passion for contributing to a sustainable energy future
