About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our high-performing Maintenance teams at our Yarwun Refinery Operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining mechanical assets across the refinery, troubleshooting and problem-solving equipment failures, and improving reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain mechanical assets across the refinery, focused on unplanned breakdown or plant limiting work.
- Identify defects and provide feedback on asset performance and health.
- Confined space and working at heights activities.
- Work autonomously, being reliable and positively contributing to the maintenance team.
- Identify and implement improvement initiatives.
- Promote and identify HSE opportunities to improve equipment, processes, and behaviours.
- Be flexible and adaptable to changing business needs.
Requirements
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
- Respect for others and an all-inclusive mindset.
- Current valid C Class drivers licence.
- A Mechanical or Fitter & Turner trade qualification.
- Proven history of fault finding, troubleshooting and repairs on various fixed plant equipment.
- Proven maintenance experience working in heavy/industrial industry.
