At our school, we are seeking an experienced Guidance Counselor who can provide expert guidance and support to our students. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Education, or a related field and be certified as a School Counselor.

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide academic, career, college, and personal counseling to high school students. This includes conducting individual and group counseling sessions, assisting students in developing academic and career goals, providing resources and support for college and career planning, collaborating with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student success, addressing students' personal and social-emotional needs and concerns, maintaining accurate and confidential student records, and staying current on trends and best practices in school counseling.

To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to maintain confidentiality and build trust with students, and be committed to supporting the well-being and success of all students.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Education, or a related field
  • Certification as a School Counselor
  • Experience working in a high school setting, preferably in a Catholic school
  • Knowledge of academic and career counseling techniques
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust with students
