About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Workplace Safety Specialist to join our team at Virgin Australia. As a key member of our safety team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the well-being of our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct research and analysis to identify legislative WHS requirements, emerging issues, and best practices.
  2. Collaborate with frontline leaders and teams to drive cultural change and improve safety outcomes.
  3. Design and deliver effective communication strategies to engage and influence the business in driving WHS continuous improvement.
  4. Provide analysis, reporting, and insights to support decision-making and compliance outcomes.
  5. Develop and maintain reports and documentation for internal and external reporting requirements.
Requirements
  1. Tertiary qualification in WHS or a related discipline.
  2. Minimum 2 years' experience in Work Health Safety and/or Workplace Wellbeing within Aviation, resource, or energy sectors.
  3. 2 years' experience implementing systems and risk management programs within industry.
  4. High levels of experience analysing and reporting to multiple stakeholders on safety performance metrics and trends.
  5. Knowledge of State and Territory WHS legislative requirements.
