General Surgery Trainee

The South Western Sydney Local Health District is seeking a highly motivated individual to complement and enhance the current General Surgery department at Liverpool Hospital.
This position is designed for junior doctors who wish to pursue a career in surgery, focusing on General Surgery. The role will provide effective surgical services to patients under supervision within SWSLHD in complex clinical environments while facilitating trainees' preparation for a career in surgery.
- To provide timely and effective medical services to patients, under supervision, within SWSLHD while developing expertise in medical practice in a complex clinical environment.
- To also communicate effectively with patients, their families, and nursing, allied health, and medical professionals.
Liverpool Hospital is a principal referral and teaching hospital of the University of NSW and the Western Sydney University and welcomes students from over 20 universities and colleges.
The hospital provides a health service of international standing, with 23 operating theatres, capacity for 877 beds, diagnostic and imaging services, emergency and trauma care, maternity, paediatric, cancer care, mental health, ambulatory care, allied health, and medical and surgical services from birth to aged care.
