General Surgery Trainee Opportunity

Northern Beaches Hospital is a world-class healthcare facility providing Level 5 delineation services for both public and private patients. **Job Overview**

The General Surgery - Unaccredited Trainee provides clinical assessments, management advice, and operative care to patients in need. Working alongside our experienced surgical team, you will gain valuable experience in various aspects of general surgery, including Upper GI Surgery, Colorectal Surgery, Breast Surgery, and more.

**Responsibilities**

- Conduct thorough clinical assessments and develop management plans for patients

- Collaborate with the Emergency Department for handovers and consults

- Participate in elective and emergency lists, including on-call services

- Contribute to weekend rosters and participate in extra on-call shifts as needed

**Requirements**

To succeed in this role, you will meet the following requirements:

- Hold a medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and be registrable with AHPRA

- Demonstrate clinical practice as a registered medical practitioner for a minimum of two years

- Show commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management

- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management, and problem-solving abilities

**What We Offer**

A competitive salary package, ranging from $111,606 to $140,051 per annum, is available for successful candidates.
