Job Overview

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Contract Project Manager to oversee a short-term fit out/refurbishment project at a Defence site in Sydney.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely and efficient execution of day-to-day site operations, maintaining adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and project timelines.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site staff to meet project requirements, fostering effective collaboration and open communication.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with health & safety regulations, ensuring a secure working environment.
  • Monitor progress, prepare comprehensive reports for senior management, highlighting key milestones, successes, and areas for improvement.
  • Promptly address issues or delays, maintaining professional relationships with all stakeholders through clear and timely communication.
  • Ensure the timely availability of necessary materials and equipment as required.
Requirements
  • Defence experience is essential; only candidates with prior experience managing projects on live Defence sites will be considered.
  • A valid Defence Common Access Card (DCAC) is mandatory for site access.
  • The candidate must be an Australian Citizen with a clean criminal record, fulfilling site access requirements.
  • Proven experience delivering refurbishments in high-security environments is necessary.
  • Strong project coordination and communication skills are crucial for success in this role.
