Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Youth Engagement Officer to join our team. As a key member of our youth services team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of programs, activities, and events that engage young people and connect them to other youth services in the community.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and assist young people and visitors to Yarra Youth Centre and Richmond Youth Hub, ensuring they safely access the service according to Council's policies and procedures.
  • Provide information about Yarra Youth Services programs, activities, and events held at the Yarra Youth Centre, Richmond Youth Hub, and in the community.
  • Assist in delivering responsive services, programs, events, and/or activities for young people in the municipality.
  • Support the planning, delivery, and promotion of programs, events, and activities for young people, including after-school and school holiday programs.
  • Undertake project-based activities as required to respond to the needs and interests of young people.
