Job Opportunity

A skilled maintenance fitter/boilermaker is sought for a challenging role.

This opportunity is ideal for a qualified individual with hands-on experience in maintenance activities within high volume manufacturing environments.

We offer a supportive team environment and the chance to develop skills further, while assisting with site continuous improvement. Training will be provided to ensure you have the full complement of skills required for this role.

The Role

Working closely with the site maintenance and production teams, the successful applicant will have experience working on various manufacturing and grain handling equipment, safety management practices and the ability to carry out both time-critical breakdown repairs and scheduled maintenance work.

This hands-on role also requires scheduling maintenance activities to achieve production targets and minimum downtime targets on a daily basis. Experience with computer-based maintenance programs is highly regarded.

Requirements

  • A mechanical trade qualification (essential)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of occupational health and safety and environmental policies and legislation
  • Experience working with production and maintenance key performance indicators (including planned preventative maintenance programs)
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • At least 5 years' industry experience (history working with manufacturing and maintenance teams)
  • Confined spaces, elevated work platform and forklift license (HRW) preferred but not essential
