About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our Energy team at Aurecon Australasia Pty Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality substation infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design substation infrastructure and support other BESS, solar, and wind projects.
  • Develop and review detailed civil engineering designs, reports, specifications, and relevant documentation.
  • Review civil design models and provide feedback.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk analyses, and site assessments.
  • Participate in engineering, design, and construction review processes and provide technical expertise and guidance as required.
  • Have a sound understanding of relevant industry/client standards, guidelines, and regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other engineers.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Assist in the advancement of digital engineering and digital innovation skills within the team.

Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional registrations such as CPEng, NER, or equivalent are desirable.
  • Proven experience within the energy (power utility) sector.
  • Previous experience working on substation, transmission, and distribution projects will be highly favorable, especially within NSW.
  • Strong understanding of civil modeling and relevant design software (e.g., Civil 3D/12D).
  • Demonstrated ability to work seamlessly within a team environment, collaborating effectively with cross-discipline teams to achieve project goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
