Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to serve as Engineer-In-Charge in our Fabrication Engineering Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the fabrication of Structural Steel and Prestressed/Precast Concrete bridge components, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor off-site inspection for acceptance and verification of fabricated components
  • Review shop drawings, design drawings, and weld procedure specifications
  • Evaluate Non-Destructive Testing Procedures and results
  • Supervise staff, including Civil Engineers, Assistant Civil Engineers, and Project Managers
  • Communicate effectively with inspection agencies and stakeholders
Requirements
  • Four (4) years of full-time experience in civil engineering work
  • A valid New York State Professional Engineer's License
  • Current New York State registration as a Professional Engineer
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university
