The Role:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified, experienced, and motivated Full Time Night Cleaning Services Supervisor to join our team at Canberra Centre in Canberra, ACT 2608.
As the Night Cleaning Services Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of our cleaning team, transforming curious visitors into loyal customers while supervising and leading a team dedicated to providing award-winning retail customer service. As part of the Assetlink team, your main focus will be on developing a high-performing cleaning team. You will efficiently manage all day-to-day cleaning operations, including staff training, tracking cleaning service delivery, rostering, auditing, and other operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a high-performing cleaning team
- Provide effective leadership to cleaning personnel, including mentoring and training
- Drive and inspire team members to deliver exceptional guest experiences
- Perform administrative tasks, such as incident reporting and assisting with staff rosters
- Meet and exceed contract cleaning requirements
- Maintain excellent customer relations with clients
- Understand customer security, environmental, and safety requirements
- Follow Occupational Health Safety and Environmental policies and procedures
- Respond to general cleaning, periodical, preventative, and emergency incidents or queries
Requirements:
- Current Australian C class Driver's Licence
- Permanent full work rights in Australia
- Willingness to obtain a National Police Clearance Check
- A minimum of 1-2 years experience in retail/commercial cleaning
- Previous experience managing a team
- Strong understanding of hard floor cleaning practices and related machinery
- Knowledge of cleaning practices, including infection control
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good administrative skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications
- Ability to give direction and instruction to people
- Ability to multitask, be flexible, and work under pressure
- Consistent attention to detail
- Flexibility to work weekends
