The Role:

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a suitably qualified, experienced, and motivated Full Time Night Cleaning Services Supervisor to join our team at Canberra Centre in Canberra, ACT 2608.

As the Night Cleaning Services Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of our cleaning team, transforming curious visitors into loyal customers while supervising and leading a team dedicated to providing award-winning retail customer service. As part of the Assetlink team, your main focus will be on developing a high-performing cleaning team. You will efficiently manage all day-to-day cleaning operations, including staff training, tracking cleaning service delivery, rostering, auditing, and other operational requirements.

The estimated annual salary for this position is AU$60,000 - AU$80,000 depending on experience.

The roster for this position is:

Monday to Friday - 10:34 to 6:00 am

Job Requirements:

  • Manage and lead a high-performing cleaning team
  • Provide effective leadership to cleaning personnel, including mentoring and training
  • Lead and inspire team members to deliver superior guest experiences
  • Perform administrative functions, such as incident reporting and assisting with staff rosters
  • Meet and exceed contract cleaning requirements
  • Develop and maintain excellent customer relations with the client
  • Understand customer's security, environmental and safety requirements
  • Follow Occupational Health Safety and Environmental policies and procedures
  • Respond to general cleaning, periodical, preventative and emergency incidents or queries

To be considered for the position you must have the following:

  • Current Australian C class Driver's Licence
  • Must have permanent full work rights in Australia
  • Must be willing to obtain a National Police Clearance Check
  • A minimum of 1-2 years experience in retail/commercial cleaning
  • Previous experience managing a team
  • Strong understanding of hard floor cleaning practices and related machinery
  • Knowledge of cleaning practices, including infection control
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good administrative skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications
  • Ability to give direction and instruction to people
  • Ability to multi-task, be flexible and work under pressure
  • Consistent attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work weekends
