About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Energy Law Specialist to cover parental leave for a leading energy provider. This is a 6-month contract opportunity.
This role requires a senior lawyer with strong background in energy retail law, solid regulatory and contractual experience. You will be advising on matters related to the energy retail business, ensuring compliance and supporting commercial objectives in a fast-moving environment.
Main Responsibilities- Provide regulatory and contractual advice for a major energy retail business.
- Ensure effective compliance and contribute to achieving commercial objectives.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to deliver clear, commercially-driven advice.
- Manage external advisers as required.
- Navigate complex regulatory landscapes while balancing operational priorities.
- Strong experience in energy retail law with solid regulatory and contractual skills.
- Able to advise senior leaders and work independently in a busy in-house environment.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Comfortable managing competing priorities in a dynamic sector.
