About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Hygiene Consultant to join our team at WSP Global Inc. As an Associate Consultant in the Occupational Hygiene and Hazardous Materials team, you will play a key role in protecting workers' health and providing guidance to clients to meet their health, safety, and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive occupational health risk assessments for hazards including but not limited to silica, noise, chemical exposures, vibration, lead, asbestos, biological hazards, and indoor air quality.
  • Use cutting-edge equipment and methods to monitor workers for exposure to hazards.
  • Perform indoor air quality testing and analysis.
  • Design effective strategies for hazard remediation and prevention management.
  • Undertake technical supervision, inspections, and monitoring during site remediation works.
  • Assess health risks and provide expert advice with support from senior technical specialists and Certified Occupational Hygienists (COH).
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary working in acoustics, contaminated land, engineering, and fire safety.
  • Produce technical reports to a high standard, including technical peer review of reports.
About You

You will have 10+ years of experience in measuring and assessing workplace hazards, including environmental factors, as well as chemical, physical, ergonomic, and biological hazards.

  • Previous consultancy experience is required.
  • Good understanding of project life cycle, taking initiative to develop relationships with clients, whilst maintaining high standards of service delivery.
  • Experience in business development, including development of winning proposals and building ongoing client relationships.
  • Confidence to communicate hazards and risks with clients, from the boardroom to the field.
  • Experience in analysing complex results and datasets, and writing technical reports, with a desire to progress your project management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of work health and safety regulations, or health risk assessment.
  • High attention to detail and responsive to clients' needs.
