Forklift Driver/ Hr Driver

Border Express currently has an opportunity available on our AM shift for an experienced and motivated CasualHR Driver/Forklift Operator to join the team at ourGeelong Branch.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected national carrier, driving modern equipment, working locally, and being part of a supportive, well run team.This position plays an integral part in the safe, efficient and effective movement of freight to achieve the delivery promise that we have made to our customers.This position will be an ongoing casual role with the hours of 6:00AM to 2:00PM.If you enjoy working in a fast paced freight environment, take pride in safety and precision, and love getting stuck into a hands on role, we want to hear from you
Duties:Operating counter balance forklifts to safely unload inbound freight from truck.Undertake safe and effective loading, unloading, movement, restraint and storage of freight as required.Ensure paperwork is matched against freight to ensure that correct freight is on vehicle for delivery.Plan and monitor all freight movements for effective utilisation in order to meet the operations time schedule.Always check load restraint, packaging and the condition of freight before it travels.Report all damages to freight or forklift to your supervisor immediately.Ensure all pallet paperwork and Dangerous Goods paperwork is checked and completed accurately.Ensure that that there are no Dangerous Goods compatibility issues when loading and unloading.Skills and Experience:LF Forklift Licence with minimum 1 year experience.A current MR or HR Licence.Excellent driver history report.Ability to work unsupervised.Ability to adhere to WHS and Safety Regulations.Excellent attitude, a good work ethic and reliability.A high level of physical fitness and the ability to perform repetitive lifting.Join a team that delivers excellence every timeAt Border Express, we've been setting the standard for exceptional service and results for over 40 years.
