Electrical Engineer Role

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with a strong background in electrical engineering to deliver expert support across HV systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver technical support for the safe and efficient operation of key power generation assets.
  • Lead detailed protection studies and system design reviews.
  • Scope and support condition monitoring, equipment overhauls, and capital upgrade projects.
  • Apply engineering principles to diagnose failures, assess equipment condition, and implement continuous improvements.
  • Support commissioning, technical supervision, and specification of electrical works.
  • Provide input into asset management strategies to extend equipment life at optimal cost.
Requirements:
  • Degree-qualified Electrical or Mechatronics Engineer.
  • 10+ years' experience in LV/HV systems and equipment, with a strong foundation in protection studies and electrical design.
  • Working knowledge of generators, transformers, inverters, or instrumentation highly desirable.
  • Experience in plant operations, maintenance, or commissioning (power station experience ideal but not essential).
  • Chartered or working towards CPEng and relevant state-based registration.
  • Safety-focused, with clear and confident communication skills and a strong improvement mindset.
