We are seeking a reliable and skilled Locomotive Transport Operator to join our logistics team.

Job Overview

This role involves operating a Medium Rigid truck locally, transporting general freight to support our Bowen Branch and surrounding Whitsunday Region community with excellent customer service.

The successful candidate will have a strong focus on delivering high-quality work output, adhering to established standards, procedures, and safety regulations to ensure smooth and accurate deliveries.

  • Transport goods between various locations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Complete necessary paperwork, including pre-start checks, run sheets, PODs, and logbooks.
  • Utilize IT platforms such as PDAs to scan freight and capture live signatures.
  • Perform manual handling tasks, including opening/closing gates and pulling curtains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service, maintaining positive relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
  • Maintain accurate records, reporting any discrepancies or issues promptly.

Requirements:

  • A current Medium Rigid Truck License (Manual 'B' condition preferred).
  • Previous experience in the transport industry or previous truck driving (desirable).
  • A professional mindset with a strong sense of accountability and commitment to meeting goals.
  • Ability to work consistently with a focus on producing high-quality work based on established guidelines, standards, and procedures.
