Business Cost Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Business Cost Specialist to support the implementation and delivery of Continuous Naval Shipbuilding in our organization.

As a key member of our team, you will be accountable for managing financial budgets and reporting outcomes. Your routine business activities will include analysis of costs and forecasts, preparation of reports and briefs, auditing of business transactions, and engagement with internal and external stakeholders to secure financial and costing information for assurance purposes.

  • Management of shipbuilding budgets, including monthly financial reporting activities and processes.
  • Overseeing project cost performance activities and providing accurate and timely information and advice to stakeholders.
  • Evaluating the costing rationale and justifications of procurements and contract proposals to produce recommendations for management.
  • Supervising a small team and implementing work plans for the work area, including setting tasks and priorities, managing workflow, and allocating resources.

You will contribute to the delivery of our Strategic Plan by assisting with the development, review, and implementation of processes and systems to support current and future business requirements.
