Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our clients and staff.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide daily technical support for desktops, laptops, and printers.
  • Conduct remote desktop troubleshooting with end-users and maintain documentation and tickets.
  • Offer specialist advice to operational teams on support and maintenance of relevant technologies.
  • Assist in the implementation of technical solutions, including installation, configuration, and operationalization.
  • Setup new desktops by installing operating systems, software, and associated peripherals.
  • Maintain the operating system and software utilized within the network, including adding new users and establishing rights and privileges.
  • Conduct break-fix or replacement of endpoints when needed.
  • Conduct data and phone patching.
  • Work with application vendors to resolve incidents and requests raised by end-users.
Required Expertise
  • On-site and remote management and setup of hardware, including desktops, laptops, tablets, phones, mobiles, and printers.
  • Strong operational support with some field experience.
  • Solid Active Directory knowledge and experience.
  • Desktop imaging and software applications, such as Operating Systems (Windows 7 through 10) and Microsoft 365.
  • Some knowledge and experience with Citrix and Fortinet.
  • Knowledge of backup solutions, Datto.
Necessary Skills
  • Strong IT support skills and ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems.
  • Awareness of ITIL best practice methodology.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively, multitask, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to analyze network performance data to identify trends and potential problems, and support recommendations to modify and/or upgrade network equipment or services.
  • Can-do attitude with an enthusiastic approach to challenges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to articulate technical information to target audience.
  • Professional customer service skills, with ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems analysis, or related study, or equivalent experience desired.
