About the Job

This is a crucial role that involves operating cranes, hoists, and lifts in various settings. As a skilled operator, you will be responsible for ensuring site safety and compliance with operational protocols.

The job requires strong situational awareness, safety mindset, and ability to interpret lift plans, diagrams, and site layouts.

Key responsibilities include conducting pre-start checks, operating controls accurately, working closely with riggers and spotters, and monitoring lifting activities using visual cues and communication systems.

You will also need to inspect, clean, and lubricate equipment, replace worn parts as required, and respond to fault indicators and report any mechanical issues or unsafe conditions immediately.

Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining daily logbooks, incident records, and safety checklists, and complying with all workplace health and safety regulations and company procedures.

  • AQF Certificate II or III in a relevant field (or equivalent experience)
  • Valid high-risk work licence for crane operation (e.g. CN, C2, C6, C1, CO)
  • Proven experience operating cranes, hoists, or lifting machinery in construction or industrial settings
  • Familiarity with signalling methods, rigging procedures, and load management techniques
  • Strong physical fitness and manual dexterity to operate equipment for extended periods
