Workshop Technician Role Summary

This is a hands-on position responsible for manufacturing and assembling products to high standards. The successful candidate will work in a team environment, utilizing tooling and information technology to assemble and configure industrial control panels.

Responsibilities
  • Manufacture products with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ensure quality assurance and compliance of all products.
  • Setup and configuration of all products using IT tools.
  • Prepare and pack installation hardware for hand-over to project managers.
  • Adhere to and promote all safety policies.
  • Manufacture and fabrication of components, including cutting, drilling, and assembly.
  • Assemble and wire control panels and junction enclosures from electrical schematics.
  • Complete paperwork and forms related to factory acceptance testing.
  • Inspect designs and finished products for compliance with specifications.
  • Assist with management of inventory for parts, tools and consumables.
  • Maintain required systems, processes, and documentation to support activities.
  • Collaborate and communicate across business units to achieve goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Mechanically and electrically minded.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Sound computer skills and familiarity with Windows operating system.
