Maintenance and Engineering Lead

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance and Engineering professional to lead our Reliability team at our Fulfillment Center. The ideal candidate will oversee the Maintenance Supervisors and Technicians, focusing on safety and equipment availability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety Oversight: Ensure site operations are maintained in a safe and efficient manner, with an emphasis on training, developing, and coaching the team.
  • Network Collaboration: Harness technical expertise available and build solutions to improve equipment availability and efficiency.
  • Safety Programs: Work with the Site Safety department & Site Leadership to implement, record, and audit safety and statutory compliance programs.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Implement network standards to provide a high level of equipment availability and efficiency.
  • Training and Development: Organize and direct the training program for the team to ensure sufficient technical coverage is available for the shifts.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated Leadership Experience: In a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a focus on growth and development.
  • Leadership Experience: Delivering leadership to a team of +10 direct reports, emphasizing team member engagement and growth.
  • Liaising and Relationship Management: With various stakeholders including third-party vendors.
  • Technical Qualifications: Formal trade qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a degree in a technical discipline (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil).
  • Automated Equipment Experience: Including packaging machinery, sortation, and conveyor systems.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Statutory Regulations Experience: Working with compliance checks and machine safety protocols.
  • Data Analysis Tools Experience: Using data analysis tools and PLC-based control systems.
  • Project Management Experience: With project management or Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma processes.
  • Computerised Maintenance Management Systems Experience: Using CMMS.
