Strategic Construction Procurement Specialist

About the Role:
">We are seeking a skilled Senior Procurement Category Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic construction category sourcing strategies across different supply chain tiers (General Contractors, Subcontractors, Suppliers, OEMs) and geographies across Australia.
">Your primary focus will be on increasing Amazon's competitiveness and maintaining continuity of supply and mitigating risks across geographical and business unit boundaries. You will identify opportunities to suit the particular needs of Amazon business by deep diving into construction categories and regions, adding value to the overall procurement process.
">You will also drive cost optimization through negotiation, standardization, value engineering, and supply chain improvements. Additionally, you will build effective internal and external relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and partners to enable collaborative working and a positive working environment.
">You will lead procurement processes, including prequalification, onboarding, tender management, evaluations, contract negotiations, and award recommendations. This requires technical and commercial accuracy, as well as the ability to manage multiple schemes simultaneously.
">A key aspect of this role is providing market intelligence and strategic insights to stakeholders and procurement leadership to inform decision-making. You will also innovate within the procurement space, automating and improving tools and processes to better support the procurement life-cycle.
