Position Overview

We are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Reliability Engineer to support our operations across New Zealand. This is a permanent opportunity with a leading global IT service provider.

Key Responsibilities

  • Possess extensive expertise in cloud infrastructure (GKE/AWS) and hands-on experience with major cloud platforms, particularly in managing Kubernetes clusters.
  • Ensure the security and upkeep of Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers.
  • Implement and maintain systems through 'Configuration as Code' methodologies.
  • Utilize Git and automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Packer, or similar technologies.
  • Demonstrate experience in hybrid or public cloud environments.
  • Engage in the implementation of technical information security standards including DevSecOps, ISO27001, CSA, or OWASP.
  • Exhibit strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code practices.
  • Design and implement metrics and alerting systems using observability tools.
  • Work with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes (GKE/EKS), AWS ECS, and Docker Compose.
  • Leverage Git-Based source control (Gitlab) including feature branching strategies.
  • Support and provision RDBMS, NoSQL, or Big Data systems.
